Local Destin small businesses are partnering together to help the victims of Hurricane Michael who are only 30-40 miles away. Destin and 30a was spared – we experienced no significant flooding or wind damage. Some areas only experienced a short period of power outage and a few downed trees. All of our homes were spared from damage.
However, towns and lives to the East lay in ruin…many without a home to go back to. Our mission is to is to fill a 14 foot enclosed trailer as many times as we can with food, baby supplies, personal products, flashlights, batteries, and then deliver them to the outlying areas that are not getting the news coverage they need in order to receive aid and supplies quickly. We will be ordering personal sundry items in bulk from our wholesale supply company.
We are getting reports from local friends that have been to the outlying areas. Many are STILL stranded in their neighborhoods with their supply of food and water gone. Areas especially such as Chipley, Bonifay, Blountstown, and others directly in the path to the north of Panama City, FL also experienced complete destruction.
Our hearts are broken to see our neighbors suffering and lives in ruin. They need relief fast! Tonight and for several months these people will be without power, jobs, and not much more than the clothes on their backs. They are thirsty and hungry. Please help us bring RELIEF to these hurting people and FILL THE TRAILER with us! ALL of the proceeds go directly to supplies for those in need.
